Before every exciting event in our life we try to imagine what exactly it will be. When you are looking forward to a youth project you have so many thing crossing your mind.

Here, in Germany five international groups from all around Europe came to meet each other and create something new and interesting.

Young people from the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria and Germany expect friendships that will last forever. They are all looking forward to practicing their computer or even communication skills, sharing experience, learning new things.

Expectations are similar – fun, learning, sharing, exploring.

The shocking truth

The Digital Youth project is located in Haus Rosenbaum, which is in the resort of Siegmundsburg. The house is in the ridges of the Thuringian forest. Siegmundsburg is located at an altitude of 760 to 814 meters and it offers a charming landscape. There you could find the famous hiking trail - The Rennsteig. It is at the starting point for hiking, cycling or skiing.

Haus Rosenbaum can look back on an eventful history. It was built in 1842 as an inn, along with a brewery and beer cellar. Until 1973, the house was family owned and was passed on from generation to generation. Isolde Rosenbaum – now the 5th generation, finally sold the house tot he University Jena.

Rumour has it, that the house is haunted by the previous owners who have had died there. Many visitors reported strange sounds that can be heard late at night or in some cases even in the middle of the day.

Till now the mystery stays unsolved.
